Mindfulness breathing is a strategy that can be used by children and adults to help self-regulate, focus, cope with challenges and calm worries.

Children can incorporate these simple exercises into their everyday lives; before homework, before an event they perceive as stressful, before bedtime.

Adults can incorporate breathing, when they feel frustrated, heightened, exhausted and/or overwhelmed with parenting. 

 

Adults can utilise these activities visual analogies to help initially and then be able to do the breathing exercises without a visual representation.
